I use this powder with 55 grain fmj bullets for .223, and it works great in my AR with a 16″ barrel. I’ve never had any cycling problems using 22.3 grains of AA2200 loading to 2.23″ OAL. Use for plinking, but can consistently hit 4″ steel at 200 yards.

I recently purchased a 6.8spc with a 12.5 in barrel and could not get the necessary speed or accuracy with my 5.56 powders. AA2200 was the most recommended on the hog hunting forums so I tried a pound. Amazing difference. With 27.5gr over Hornady 120gr SST loaded to an OAL of 2.295 I’m getting half inch groups at 100 yards. Average MV is 2527fps. As usual, this the load data specific for my firearm only.
