The CCI Primers are constantly being improved and tested. Thus, CCI primers are more sensitive, easier to seat and better suited for automated loading equipment than ever before. Non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator mixes are used for the cleanest burns.
Some imported revolvers with smaller nipples require #10 caps.

The CCI number 10 caps work well with my Uberti percussion revolvers, while my Pietta revolvers work well with CCI number 11 caps. However, I recommend trying a tin of several brands and sizes of cap before purchasing a substantial quantity.

My experience is my Piettas use 10s, and my Ubertis use 11s. I pinch the 11s just a bit if they need to be snugged up. Pro tip: use a wood dowel or pencil eraser to push the caps on. They probably will never go off while putting them on, but if one ever does your thumb will never be the same.
