Only experts put the priming mix in the cups, so you get the same flame every time. Benchrest Primers also use consistent cups and anvils. An independent researcher identified CCI Benchrest primers as one of two major contributors to tiny groups. CCI Primers are constantly improved. CCI small rifle primers are now more sensitive, easier to seat, and compatible with progressive and automated loading equipment. This is achieved by using non-corrosive, non-mercuric initiator mixes.

I have been using CCI BR primers in my 220 swift for years pushing a 40gr Blitz King @ 4200 FPS. never a misfire or blowout in over 1500 rounds.

CCI has always made excellent primers. Their BR (bench rest) primers are simply a step above other “standard” primers. With chronograph data you will see that the velocity, while a little lower, will be more consistent with less extreme spread and smaller SD’s. These are worth the extra cost. I have about 25,000 CCI BR primers (LR & SR).
