Magnum’s excellent velocities coupled with its cleanliness make it a great choice for high volume match shooters. Ramshot Big Boy powder was renamed Ramshot Magnum in 2001. Big Boy and Magnum are the exact same powder – just a new name. Data using Ramshot Big Boy is applicable for Ramshot Magnum. Grain shape is flat ball. Ideal Calibers: .25-06, .270 WSM, 7mm Rem Mag, .300 WBY, .300 Win Mag, 300 RUM

caught wind to try this powder for 300 win mag, rifle is a new Tikka, i had already shot the rifle 40 rounds breaking it in and loaded this near max charge with 200 grain accubonds and grouped 1/2″ averaging a little over 3k FPS

I use Ramshot Magnum in my 300 WM with 220gr SMKs. I’m getting 2850 fps with no signs of pressure. On the burn rate charts it falls right between H1000 and Retumbo.
